General ESL Program

EndedRichards Street

Service Description

The General ESL Program is a five-week, 100-hour rigorous program which has been designed to teach English communication skills to second language learners. Students, and even professionals, today need to function efficiently and effectively in their respective fields of specialization to become successful. In doing so, they should know how to properly use the four macro skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Unlike other programs, the lessons in this program are taught with the use of visual aides to help the learners to understand each lesson and eventually acquire the needed skills. This program has three levels to achieve English language fluency. This is in consonance with the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) standard. Program Objectives At the end of the General ESL Program, the students are expected to:  Demonstrate English proficiency by attaining appropriate CLB  Enhance their aural and oral English skills  Improve their reading and writing skills  Integrate themselves to Canadian formal and ordinary situations to increase their fluency in both written and spoken English When: Where: Advanced Education Institute of Canada Audience: International students, Newcomers to Canada, and Pre-University, University and High School students How: Classes will be held Monday to Friday, 9:30AM to 1:30PM.
