Certificate in General ESL (Basic)

The ESL for Beginners Program is a 5-week, 100-hour rigorous program which has been designed to teach English communication skills to second language learners. Students, and even professionals, today need to function efficiently and effectively in their respective fields of specialization to become successful. In doing so, they should know how to properly use the four macro skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Unlike other programs, the lessons in this program are taught with the use visual aides to help the learners to further understand each lesson and eventually acquire the communication skills. The objectives are: (1) demonstrate English proficiency by attaining CLB 2.5 to 4, (2) enhance students’ aural and oral English skills, (3) improve their reading and writing skills, (4) integrate students to Canadian formal and ordinary situations to increase their fluency in both written and spoken English.

Certificate in Basic Computer 1

This course presents a simple look at Windows 10 and its interface, tools, and features. The students will learn about the fundamentals of navigating and personalizing the interface, organizing files and folders, using media devices, and searching for information. This course also covers the discussion of Microsoft Office Word 2019 and its functions in word processing. This course includes various practical hands-on activities that allow students to learn the concepts by practicing them on a regular basis.

Certificate in Business Communication Fundamentals

English, being a world language, is an indispensable tool in daily corporate communications. Its manifold importance is underscored by the four macro skills appended to it, namely: listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. The course objectives are easily stated: to prepare students in business communication, to provide illustrative materials, and to equip students with other aspects needed in the working environment because this course does not only include business letter writing and reporting but the discussion on electronic communications, customer service, and in-person & virtual presentation as well.

Intensive English Immersion Program

This Intensive English Immersion Camp is a 3-week, 60-hour rigorous program which was designed to provide individuals, ages between 19 and 35, with a memorable English language acquisition experience, great exposure to the Canadian culture, and holistic career planning sessions. There are two immersion programs available: Summer and Winter.

Certificate in Office Operations Foundations

This course gives the students learn about various office environments and challenges. The students are exposed to the typical day of an office administrator. Hence, making the students well-aware of the daily organization, grind, and protocols in an office. Further, the course focuses on record keeping, communication management, telephone and email management, business forms, organizing meetings and conferences, and planning a business trip. The students are given various case studies, review questions, and practice exercises to gain valuable learning experience.

Career Development Program Part 2

This program was designed for individuals who are looking for career advancement. This program includes the following: career mapping, 4 resume and cover letter writing revisions, 4 job interview coaching, social media scrubbing, informational interviews, professional networking, and elevator pitching.

Experiential Learning Program

This program is for students who are looking for Canadian experiential learning either internship, preceptorship, or coop. The students undergo the intensive career coaching and assist them to match their qualifications to existing companies that have available opportunities.

Certificate in English for Academic Purposes

The English for Academic Purposes Program (EAPP) is a 16-week, 20-hour per week specialized program which was designed primarily to help students who would like to continue their studies in college or in the university but are hindered by school’s English proficiency requirement. This program further aims to help students improve their English in the academe through integrating various academic subjects in the language learning process. The objectives are: (1) discuss the importance of having a strong command of the English language towards academic success, (2) familiarize with some vocabulary building tips, (3) use appropriate diction when constructing sentences, paragraphs, and compositions, (4) read and understand both prose and non-prose materials, (5) understand and use the part of speech appropriately, (6) develop paragraphs using various rhetorical acts, and (7) write case analysis, position paper, news article, and library research.

Certificate in Basic Computer 2

This course introduces the students to spreadsheets with Microsoft Office Excel 2019. It focuses on the core features of Microsoft Excel where students learn how to enter values, format data, and utilize the various functions and formulas to the data. The course also includes Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2019 which is an important tool in the corporate world. It tackles how to create, modify, view, present and share slideshows. This course appends hands-on, real-world simulation to reinforce the theories learned.

Certificate in Customer Service

This course lays a good foundation on customer service, its definition, tenets, and descriptions through real-world examples. The students are provided with tips on managing time, stress, and priorities as well as the etiquette in approaching customers in various situations. The students are provided with various case studies, review questions, and practice exercises to gain valuable learning experience.

This course provides the students with a good understanding of concepts and practices in human resources management.
